He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Security Management and specialized in the defense industry during the first two decades of his practice, undergoing extensive training and education in the fields of Risk Management, Risk Assessments, Premises Liability, Security Inspections, and Civil Liability. 


Russell Kolins’ expertise is well-earned. He is a certified trainer in the two nationally accepted responsible alcohol management programs. Russell has been a consultant to some of the largest Nightclub entertainment venues as well as country clubs, resorts and hotel and motel businesses. His skills extend to Facility Physical Security Design and he is a CPTED Practitioner.

Clarence Izzard is the Global Director of Safety & Security for Marriott Vacations Worldwide. 

His work for the last 29 years has regularly put him at the forefront of creative new risk management strategies, including developing, implementing and directing security and safety programs in the hospitality industry globally. 


He leads and direct the Global Safety & Security operations inclusive of security, threat & risk assessments, investigations, guest/owner safety, health & safety, fire & life safety systems, fire prevention, general liability, and workers compensation, for over 104 resorts worldwide.


He utilizes his analytical skills toward identifying, assessing and prioritizing operational security risks, implement preventive programs and policies to reduce risk, and conduct regular security & safety audits at resorts.

Malcolm Reid is the Managing Director of Brison LLC, a risk management advisory firm based

in Virginia, USA. He is a globally recognized leader in the fields of risk management and

cyber resilience. He gained a wealth of experience as a practitioner and advisor to global

clients spanning a myriad of industry sectors. Some of his projects included the Enterprise

Business Continuity Program development for a number of global development institutions,

a Country-level Critical Infrastructure Assessment, Fraud Risk Assessments for large, global

financial organizations, and Security Master plan development for international energy and

chemical firms.

Malcolm is a member of ASIS International and an active volunteer within the organization.

He is a member of the Standards and Guidelines Commission, a Regional Vice President, a

member of the Crisis Management and Business Continuity Council and a member of the

Latin American Advisory Council. Malcolm is also a member of the Association of Certified

Fraud Examiners and is a Chapter Chairman. He also holds the most prestigious accolade in

Managing Partner - Chameleon Associates

Mr. Brandes delivers experience in security, Predictive Profiling, Intelligence, training development and delivery, red teaming, security screening methods, counter-terrorism and security engineering.   He began his career in the Israeli Defense Forces in a Special Forces Reconnaissance Unit.  During his military service he led recon and intelligence gathering teams on complex operations against terrorist organizations.  His leadership role and performance earned him special commendation.


After military service, he joined the Security Department of El AL Airlines, a division of Israel’s General Security Services (Shin Bet) as a Profiler Agent.  Agents profile and detect suspicious behaviors and contextual indicators among its passenger population, cargo and within the airline’s entire operational environment.  Amotz received special advanced training in explosives, concealment methods, cargo profiling, and surveillance detection.  


In 2001, Mr. Brandes joined Chameleon Associates where post 9/11, interest in counter-terrorism and aviation security spiked; to that end, he established their Training and Consulting department and developed programs in security engineering, Predictive Profiling, situational threat assessment and HUMINT.  Clients for these programs included private companies, government agencies, the military, not-for-profit organizations and security companies, all over the world. 


Mr. Brandes has worked with dozens of private, governmental and non-profit organizations such as the Central Bank of Netherlands, Vancouver International Airport, Amtrak Inspector General, Mall of America, Singapore Mass Rapid Transit, Boeing, the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security, the L.A. Sheriff, European Commission, Australian Federal Police and many more.

Darrel is the Executive Director of Security at Eldorado Resorts in Reno, Nevada overseeing the security departments at three local casino hotel resorts. 


In addition to his duties there he also works as a university instructor, consultant, and courtroom expert throughout North America for Hotels, Casinos and other industries.  

He specializes in policy-writing, workplace violence, active shooter response and leadership training. 


Darrell belongs to several National and Local associations and boards that address issues of Law Enforcement, Security and Emergency Planning. 

He was voted one of Security’s Most Influential People in 2011 and wrote the industry primer entitled Hospitality Security.

Joop is managing director and founder of the European Security Academy. He is an expert in the field of security risk management with a broad knowledge and experience, both in profit and in non-profit organizations.

Joop began his professional career as a professional officer with the Marine Corps in various operational and staff positions. He was involved in the liberation actions of the two train hijackings in the Netherlands in the mid 1970s. He also acted as an aide-de-camp of the Minister of Defence.

He left the Marine Corps in 1982 to join the Schiphol Group at Schiphol. Here he was deputy commander of the airport police. In 1989, he was appointed Manager Corporate Security of the Schiphol Group.

In The year 2000 he decided to start his own company, the Security College. In 2010, this was renamed the European Security Academy.
